A Poem for Geshe Lopsang Tsepel
To the Buddha in you
Subtle virtuous smile, encapsulates my mind
The humility in communication, makes me humble every moment
For the monk who attracts me like glue,
I bow to the Buddha in you.
The talks started from meditation, led on to renunciation
The fire of fascination, was kept alive, as in, re-incarnation
The stories were humorous but the message went through,
I bow to the Buddha in you.
Fear virtue more than vice, is what I have heard as advice
Comparison sometimes is not an option as there is, drastic proportion
For the monk who has only virtues,
I bow to the Buddha in you.
Wars change course of mankind, what changes course of man?
If these people were asked to find, they will confirm it’s the gentle man
Showering flowers of gratitude on you,
We bow to the Buddha in you.
