Janet Thomas writing workshop: Whose trip it is: April 15-17th

My experience at Deer Park had been one of stunning beauty, from that first sunset alight in the patterns of thousands of buzzing bugs to the inner reawakening of my love for writing. I came here thinking I would maybe get a little insight from the workshop, but ended up reconnection with a side of myself school long ago suppressed. I like the workshop as never about getting told what writing is or how to do it, but rather an invitation to rewrite all the rules. Thanks to Janet and all Deer Park staff.

I came to India with a burning desire to write, yet prior to the travel writing workshop had managed to write nothing. I’ve afraid to write, worried it wouldn’t be good enough. But as we shared our experiences, challenges, circumstances and failures with each others, I was reminded of the beauty of being human and the value of sharing my story, Everyone has a story to tell, and I learned to trust that the writing knows more then I do. So break out your notepad and pens, laptops and cameras because if I can do it, you can do it too.
