Led by Dr. Bettina Baeumer
This wonderful place , the Deer Park Institute, with its Spirit of enquiry, scholarship and worship, its good people, good organization and its social and eco sensitiveness was an ideal ambiance for our retreat seminar on Spanda~ the vibration of consciousness.
For me the seminar was a pilgrimage beyond space and time, a pilgrimage to recognize oneself in the mirror of Kashimir Shaivism, a pilgrimage to the source of knowing and doing.
This pilgrimage was lead by Dr. Bettina Baeumer with great wisdom and love. Her precious teachings were like personal transmissions of knowledge, a key of understanding and experiencing this profound system of Spanda Karikas. The times of silence and meditation let space to deepen the treasures, letting them sink inside the cave of my heart.

It’s wonderful to be back in Deer Park. It’s a lovely place, physically and spiritually. Just to be here is great, even if we do nothing. But if teachings are also to be there, it’s nothing like it. Over the last year, I’ve been through two retreats on Kashmir Shaivism and one on Buddhist philosophy. There is a lot of learning at different ways of looking at life, enrichment of life values and harmonious integration of inner and outer.
